Hey, we're taking a short break. We will be back soon!

Packing up my office...

Memoir Camp

Memoir Camp starts tomorrow! Say whaaat? I’m freaking the eff out.

I’ve spent this week working on packing up my office to move to my mom’s house. She’s going to be managing all my current store contracts for me while I take the next four months to focus on nothing but writing this book and creating solid routines in my household to get ready for all three boys to be home.......all summer long....(and it’s an extra long summer this year with that new Missouri law, so I’ve gotta make sure my shit it all the way together...).

Everyone keeps asking me what I’m going to write. Truth time...I don’t know. 😳

I’ve always known I wanted to write a book, I just never knew what I wanted to say. What I’ve learned in the last few months of writing in StoryAthlete is that when you start putting words down, a lot of times they take you somewhere you never intended to go in the first place. In the spirit of letting my words lead the way, I jumped into Memoir Camp with no plan at all other than I want to call this sucker Kindhearted Badass. And in four months, it may be called something totally different and that’ll be ok too, because I’m letting the words lead the way.

Maybe you’re like me and you’ve always known that you want to write a book but you have no idea what you actually want to write about. Memoir Camp is for you!

Maybe you do know the book you want to write and you just don’t know the mechanics. Memoir Camp is for you!

Maybe your high school English teacher told you that you suck at writing? Fuck that teacher, Memoir Camp is definitely for you.

Memoir Camp is for anyone who has a story they know needs to be told and an open mind on how you’re going to tell it. That’s it.

Got a story? Of course you do, we all do.
Got an open mind? Only you know that, but we’re online buds so I’m going to assume yes.

There are 3 more spots for Memoir Camp left and my Pam, my friend Jen, AK Turner and I would really love to spend the next four months hanging out with you.

P.S. You get to come to a fancy, all inclusive glamping resort on the beach in Mexico at the end, and it’s included in the price, so...it’s like the best deal of all time.

If you’re thinking, “ok Heather, fine, you’re right, I do want to write a book and drink margaritas.” Shoot me a message and I’ll send you the info on camp.

Be brave. Tell your story (also, you’ll get to have a massage on the beach...win/win).
